Hey Ya’ll!
So I've been experimenting with my pre-workouts lately and I want to share this one with you :D.
I have decided to name this The Berry Bomb because it is literally like an EXPLOSION of delicious berry flavour in your mouth!
This shake is actually ideal for pre or post workout. As it is has got your fruit for carbs, a banana for high glycaemic intake and of course a bit of the good old whey protein :). But remember this is not a meal replacement! Simply a yummy clean ass snack to nourish your body with the nutrients you need in order to prepare and recover from exercise efficiently.
Ingredients are:
100g Mixed Berries; I used Strawberries, Blueberries, Blackcurrants and Raspberrys
1 Small Banana
2 Tbsp Total Yoghurt
Milk / Almond Milk (Use as much as you need to get the consistency to your liking)
1 Scoop Vanilla Whey Protein
Blend until smooth and CONSUME! Remember, if drinking pre-workout then make sure you consume from 30 - 120 minutes before exercise... This is mainly so that the energy can all absorb ready for the body to use... and also so that you don't have to exercise on a full stomach! Because that is uncomfortable and nobody wants to be sick when working out!
If drinking post-workout then make sure you consume within an hour after exercise... as that time window is when your body / muscles are at their most ready to absorb any nutrients.
