Apple Crisps!

I found this amazing idea on @videomeals instagram page… So thank them for the idea! J

This particular recipe is a brilliant alternative to crisps (or chips if you’re in the US!) They’re full of flavour and have the exact same texture as a crisp.

SO… How to make apple crisps…

Chop your apples into very thin slices (I used around 3 apples to begin with), then sprinkle the apples with cinnamon. Put the apples onto a baking tray and cook them in your oven for 2 HOURS on 110 degrees.

I'd advise on preparing these in BULK. It's far more practical to do it this way due to the amount of time that it takes for them to cook!! ;). They can then be made to last you the week and make a great mid morning snack at work!

Healthy snacking is really about creating interesting flavours and textures from “boring food”. An average apple would be far less appetising than crispy baked cinnamon flakes of apple! Make the effort to make your healthy food exciting and you’ll be much more motivated to eat it.

2 hours of smelling warm baking cinnamon is enough to drive you CRAZY. I ate almost all of these in one go! Yummmmmm!

If I had to sum this dish up in 3 words It’d be:
Moorish, crispy, sweet!
